Dr Hema SINGH

Dr Hema SINGH
Dr. Hema Singh is working as Chief Scientist and Head in Centre for Electromagnetics, National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bangalore, India. Dr. Singh has academic experience in highly prestigious BITS, Pilani (Raj.). She has been involved in training manpower (graduate/postgraduate students) in the field of Electromagnetics.
She received Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering from IIT-BHU, Varanasi India in Feb. 2000. She has total of 25 years of work experience in academic and R&D organizations. Her focus area of research is indigenous development of stealth technologies based on Radar Cross Section (RCS) estimation and control, Radar Absorbing Structures (RAS), low RCS Electronic Warfare antennas, and Active RCS reduction, which is one of the critical challenges in the country’s self-reliance in strategic sector. Other contributions of Dr. Singh include EM analysis of propagation in an indoor environment for Boeing USA, RCS estimation of electrically large structures, phased array including conformal antennas, radomes, and deep learning models for EM applications. She has authored 15 books, 5 book chapters, 2 patents, 7 software copyrights, and around 580 research publications and technical documents. She has been actively involved in various sponsored and grant-in-aid projects of defence sector (DRDO) and international collaborative projects (Boeing USA). She has been continuously guiding and training graduate and post-graduate students from Science and Engineering background.
Recently she got Distinguished Alumnus Award in Research and Innovation for 2024-25 from IIT BHU, Varanasi. She has also received Career Excellence Award: Women in Engineering by IEEE WAMS in 2024. She has received IEEE Women Technologist of Year 2020 by IEEE Bangalore chapter. She also got IETE-Smt Ranjana Pal Memorial Award-2018 in the novel area of Active RCS reduction, by indigenously developing an efficient adaptive algorithm. She was awarded Best Woman Scientist in CSIR-NAL in 2008. She is a Senior IEEE member and Fellow of Aeronautical Society of India. She had been Asia representative in IEEE-Industry Initiative Committee (2012-2015).

Sebastien GAUTIER
Graduated 2002 from EPFL in Lausanne as Dipl. Ing Mechanical Engineering with specializations in numerical methods and turbomachines.
Started his career at MTU Aeroengines in Munich in 2001 in the department for unsteady aerodynamics and acoustic design of jet engines. In 2004, the simulation department in the consulting branch of MTU covered all simulation domains. In 2008 moved to EXA Corporation as technical director for Central Europe and helped expand the Heavy Industry in Europe and Aerospace worldwide markets ending his EXA career as Managing Director for the Aerospace Industry. He moved into Dassault Systemes end of 2017 and took the lead of the Experience Management team for Aerospace and Defense as Technical Sales Director before transitioning into his role in 2019 as Senior Sales Director for Simulia in EuroCentral. His current role since 2023 is SIMULIA Sales & Marketing Vice President

Mark BOHM

Mark BOHM
Mark Bohm is the Director of Worldwide Technical Sales for SIMULIA at Dassault Systèmes, supporting customers in all industries. He’s been with the company since 1985 and has held a variety of technical and sales management roles based in Rhode Island, the UK, and Michigan. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Brown University and a master’s degree in structural mechanics from the University of California, Berkeley.
